<p>I am currently planning on majoring in Poli Sci with minors in English, Philosophy, and Econ if I have time. Does having minors benefit me at all? Or would it make more sense to just put the work into having two majors?</p>
<p>The only way a double major benefits you is if you plan on attending graduate school to continue studying one of the majors. </p>
<p>If you don’t plan on getting a PhD, in either field, major in Poly Sci, and take classes in any department that interest you. The only exception to this is that Econ as a minor or major might make you more marketable once you start looking for a job in the work force as it’ll probably teach you skills that are in demand by some industries.</p>

<p>Neither really matters unless you have a personal desire to specifically learn a specific topic. In terms of the amount of additional effort it takes to do a double major you’re far better off just interning during the school year and networking if you’re concerned about marketability.</p>
