For example our school has PE and such that has no grade bump.

Since colleges only see the cumulative GPA/rank till junior year, it's better to put away the courses (PE) that will lower your overall GPA (since your grade bumped 5.0 will be adulterated with a normal 4 from PE) right?

At our school at least, you only have to take either 4 or 5 (I can’t quite remember) weighted classed to get a 5.0. If you have all As in all your classes and have a certain number of weighted classes, you receive a 5.0. Check to see if there is a similar policy in place at your school. That way, you can take your electives like PE that are unweighted without fear of lowering your GPA.

My school has nothing like this. I got screwed over by health, PE, and Computer Apps (all required classes). The main issue is these took the place of A-G courses I could have taken to increase chances at the UCs. Oh well, that’s life.
