better to take the math Ic or IIc

is there any real difference? i mean i kno that math IIc is harder but does it look better for colleges if u take either one?

If you've had pre-cal take IIc because a lot of colleges look for it anyway.

II has higher level math...but people score worse on I (I'm guessing that this is because they've forgotten the lower level stuff!). So....if you are in a higher level math class definitely take II (I'm in calculus...and I already forgot some of the stuff on II, so I can't imagine how badly I would have done on I)

Math I is harder because the curve is much worse than math II. If you took precalculus already, then you have no excuse for taking math I instead of math II. In fact, you may even do better on math II than math I without having taken precalc.

What about if you've only taken Algebra, Geometry, and FST (Functions, Statistics, and Trigonometry)?

Tell em in order what you've taken. Some places call precalc other things. the best way to know this is that it is the class you take a year before calculus, hence the name precalc.

Math IIc if you're applying for UCs.

take Math II, or atleast try to prep for it a little..some pre calc questions are very easy even if u havent taken pre-cal for example the questions on limits, i find to be a joke. and yeah ive taken up to calculus, so yeah some of the topics arent that difficult.

Math 2C

Math IC [has easier questions on it, i think? so less room to make mistakes] is only harder because its curve is worse than Math IIC's

All right, thanks! Oh, and I'm sorry lovelace; I didn't mean to take over your thread.

haha no no its okayyy....im just gaining knowledge from the whole discussion going on...i took precalc already and i was planning to take math I but now i kno im not doign that ....thanx everyone!
