Better to take Two or Three?

Is it better to take two or three subject tests? College's say they just take your two highest scores. So in years past, people took three and sent them in. Now we have score choice. So, is it goof enough to just take two tests? Concentrate on two subjects and get good scores?

I want to go to a UCB, UCLA, USD, UCD, UCI.

Also, does it really matter which subjects they are? I am thinking of doing Math 2 and Us History. Other choice would be Physics.

I don’t know what the UCs require, but it’s safest to have a math, science, and humanities SAT Subject Test. It doesn’t matter what subjects you take, as long as you take some from different categories.

UC’s only requires 2 subject tests. Has to be different categories and math II only.

So, Math 2 and U.S. History good enough? Lets say I can get really good scores on those two?

That’s fine.

Harvard, Georgetown and Princeton (I know of) require 3 SAT IIs. It’s better to take 3 to have more options later on. If you are taking AP History, SAT II History is the same test. Math IIC is required by most top tier schools, so skip Math IC.

If you know you’re applying to a school that requires only two, then take two.
