between chem 14d and english 10b..

currently, im not doing hot with 3 south campus classes at once. how is not taking chem for one quarter?

now i have:
chem 14c
physics 6a
math 3c

next quarter i'll have this torturous schedule:
chem 14d
physics 6b
ls 3

OR this one:
english 10b-makdisi--i never heard of this prof?
physics 6b-arisaka
ls 3-olague-never heard of this prof either...

How much of 14c do i need to remember to do well in 14d? is the latter schedule ok? i can't take both english and chem at once since their times conflict.

if i pick the latter schedule, i'll hafta miss the last 20 minutes of each physics lecture on mondays and wednesdays. how risky is that?

*im either using 2nd pass for english 10b or chem 14d. please help! thanks.

Context: phy sci major, english minor, pre-med (for sure). prolly gonna switch to english major and pre-med given how poorly i am doing in south campus classes. since i'm interested in psych, another option is psychobio major, english minor, and pre-med...

arisaka is a great 6b professor. dont pass up this chance to take him.

it's helpful to have a background in 14C stuff, but you can relearn it as you're taking 14D, imho.

would i have a problem missing the last 20 mins of arisaka's class twice a week?

everyone loves arisaka because he is super-easy (so ive heard) so that should be an easy class for you.

ls3 is not hard, just a lot of material

14D is moderately hard and requires a lot of practice (no need for 14C stuff except resonance structures and stereochem)

depending on how exams are scheduled, i think 14D+6B (arisaka)+LS3 is possible, but you will have to work nonstop. Honestly, if you need to boost your science gpa, take one (may be two) sciences classes tops. But the above schedule is doable...

also, you can major in whatever you want if you are doing premed. if you are really good at english, i would recommend just majoring in it and doing the premed prereqs on the side.

how are arisaka's lectures? are they useful? i am concerned w/ missing them b/c of english. my science GPA is HORRIBLE so i decided to take english instead of chem 14d.

ok now i'm enrolled in:
chem 14d
physics 6b
ls 3
DESMA 9

i wanna drop chem 14d and take english instead. aww no ochem; conflicts w/ english :( but yay not 3+ south campus classes to boost my sci GPA. BUT if i take english, i may hafta take hauser for physics... anyone here had hauser/know of him? is bruinwalk accurate of his description? i don't wanna miss out on arisaka!
