@actorparent1 Thank you!

@love2share Congratulations!!!

@Gapyearguru Thank you!

Congrats @love2share !!!

@love2share Congrats - sounds like a great program and close to NYC too! Some tough, but good choices to have!

Congratulations @love2share! It sounds like you have some amazing options! Feel free to reach out if you need a sounding board!

@NYDreammom Thank you!

@HPDbfa and @FourStars Thank you! Yes, my D wants to be in or near NYC. As of right now, her options are: Pace FTVC (good scholarship and program head really wants her), LIU Post (offering full tuition), and Rutgers (hoping to hear about scholarships). They’re all different programs from each other. And we’re still waiting to hear from SUNY Purchase, BU, and NYU. We plan to travel to the east coast next month to visit campuses during my D’s Spring Break.

@love2share, I have to say, I can’t wait to read your “Final Decision” post! Such amazing choices, but as you say, SO different from each other… and then a full-tuition offer thrown into the mix! So exciting! I’m really eager to read what you ultimately decide and how you decided!

Congratulations @love2share! Hoping everyone receives good news this week!

@actorparent1 I’ve already started writing my D’s “Final Decision” post as far as the background and beginning of our journey…I have no idea what will happen! So much depends on our campus visits next month AND scholarship/merit offers. Thank you for your excitement! :D/

@drama315 Thank you! And yes, hoping everyone receives good news this week!

@love2share - Rutgers is a dream school! So happy for your D and yes - very tough choices ahead but nice to have.

@love2share congratulations! We were a “no” from Rutgers, but this was expected - S realized during the callback weekend that the conservatory focus of the program [13 hours a day of strict Meisner training, without room for student-led performances or other outside-but-related interests] was really not what he was looking for, and he was honest about that in his interview. He knows one of the faculty members, so wanted to be honest and let them give a spot to someone who would accept rather than telling them he was really interested. So much learning and decision-making goes into this process!!

@CaMom13 Thank you! My D is excited about Rutgers and grateful for the options she has!

@MomMimi That’s good that your S knew what he wanted and what he didn’t want. And that he was honest in the interview at the Rutgers callback weekend. A huge component in these college decisions is finding the right fit.

Congrats @love2share! Amazing options!!

@Jazzycats Thank you!

@love2share wonderful news for your D! How exciting, and so many wonderful choices!
