@teatromama Don’t get me wrong if she got a spot off the Juilliard waitlist I’m pretty sure she would jump at it! She’s just not holding her breath for it. She was accepted into other fantastic programs that she feels good about so I’m happy about that.
@MomofJ5 Of course there are no downsides to waitlisted. That’s perfectly fine. At least you’re being considered. S is just going for the acceptances and moving on. He applied to great schools. The mom in me really would love for him to stay … What I was told with regards to deposits being made. you just lose that. I do like that option
Suny Purchase is supposed to make calls or update portals on Friday
What is saddening is that it feels like winter all over again with only a few days before Spring
Wow there is so much to catch up on! First, congrats to @actingdreams and @sylvansol on the Juilliard waitlist! That is a huge accomplishment. There is so much talent out there. And I have two thoughts, yes I concur there is no downside to staying on a waitlist and just put down your deposit at your other leading acceptance. But, if you are lucky enough to have acceptances, there is something nice about feeling wanted. I know people that chose their other school, sometimes a safety, sometimes with money, because that School Wanted them. Anyway, we all may approach it differently and that’s okay!!!
Thank you @FourStars Yes! totally agree. Talent is everywhere. No hard feelings. Grateful for the opportunity. @sylvansol D and My S I’m sure had an amazing experience. They have to know that they were gifted enough to get a callback. There is certainly something nice about feeling wanted it doesn’t mean that he has to feel more special than anyone else in the class. You get it. Thank you again
@actingdreams - I think your S has great options, must be very talented and seems very mature.
@MomofJ5 thank you. All of our kids are talented. I think Art and talent is subjective. Since most of our kids are talented, we have to just hope that each program is looking for our kids type for the year. I really don’t believe that my S is anymore talented than many of the other kids. They all have a gift… It’s just luck and the need for the year. My S has already started prepping a Young Arts Winner at his school who wants to go to Juilliard. I have a feeling that he will get in (or hope so) he’s really good! can’t wait to find out this time next year

@STHmom .
I have a stupid question. If my son applies early action to a school, does he apply academically first and then set up an audition? or do you audition first and then apply? What’s the process? Clueless. …
@collegeadmiss, you apply academically first. There will be instructions on the school’s website about how to schedule the audition.
Hi @collegeadmiss Some schools will not allow you to apply for EA and some will.
A quick question for anyone that did Texas State BFA Acting. My S got the email for Priority Hold last week and through here we’ve been seeing some acceptances through call/email, but he has yet to recieve anything other than the PH email. Is it safe to assume that all offers are made and we should move on?
@ActingGuy101 . I think the PH letter reads that offers will be made on a rolling basis throughout April, so I think it is totally possible to get an offer!
I thought I would mention that my S received a call from Pace for BFA Acting late this afternoon(PST). Good luck to all waiting on that one!
Congratulations, @frontrowmama!
Congratulations @frontrowmama Glad you got a yes! This waiting game is ridiculous for everyone
So much going on this week! My stomach is in knots! Good luck to everyone!
Anyone hear from Pace BA acting or directing yet?
