BFA in Acting programs with a GPA 2.6??

I am looking to compile a list of Theatre colleges/universities. What are my chances of getting into a BFA in Acting program with a 2.6 GPA?? I have my Associates of Arts in Drama but NO theatre background. There may some schools that academically it’s not an issue.

Check out CCPA Roosevelt.

Thanks @Jkellynh17. I would have to research more them.

Generally, the more of a “conservatory” type the program is- the less they care about grades

But as you get more “conservatory-ish” the audition becomes more important and more difficult. (Julliard, for instance, doesn’t care about grades at all, but it is still almost impossible to get in.)

So do the more “conservatory” type programs care less about students not having any theatre experience or credits??

Most programs that audition require a resume. There are many good nonaudition programs that in the regular world care about grades to the extent that they can be competitive. If you have some time you should audition everywhere and anywhere you can and get that experience so you know if you actually enjoy the process.

This is a list that I’ve just initially researched so far. Any suggestions??

If you would consider a BA you might be interested in Drew University in Madison New Jersey. My daughter is a sophomore there and loving it.

UNCSA, U of Arts, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, and DePaul are others that come to mind.
