Hi. I am a HS Senior who is looking for more BFA programs that have larger class sizes. I know many of the top BFA programs accepted students as many as 12 per year. I know NYU Tisch is one the schools in which the class size is larger. Let me know any BFA programs where the class size is at least somewhat big.
Hey @ducky100 - you’ll probably get better responses on the Musical Theatre Forum but the boards are pretty quiet this year.

The largest MT programs I know of are Boston Conservatory (BoCo), NYU and AMDA. NYU (NSB only) and BoCo both accept a freshman class of around 60-65. AMDA is much larger than that but I don’t know the exact size - I think 100+. Molloy College/CAP21 class of 2023 has a class size of about 50 and Rider has a similarly sized freshman MT class, although that’s the BA and BFAs combined. So those would all be pretty large compared with the more typical 12-24 per class MT programs.
If you’re looking okay with Acting or MT then AMDA and NYU would again be the biggies - 300 for NYU in all Studios and AMDA more than that.
Rider actually had 39 freshman in the department this year, which includes the BA students. Not sure what the breakdown b/w BFA & BA is though.
I know Temple has either 24 or 25 BFA freshman for this year, which is a healthy size class as well!
I think Shenandoah took a larger class too–maybe 25-30, but not positive.
Roosevelt has MT-voice emphasis and MT- dance emphasis for a combined larger MT class
AMDA had 400+ this year in NYC!
