I found info on the cmu site about a BHA (bachelor of humanities & arts) program that allows kids to get a humanities, broad education with a special focus on a certain discipline within the college of fine arts. this sounds perfect for me, exactly what i'm looking for. does anyone here do this program or know someone who does? is it impossible to get into (specifically for drama)?

Here are the Admissions statistics.

It looks like BHA is a small program inside the college after you have already been admitted. It also looks like anyone who wanted to do it (59 people) was allowed to.

I don't know any more specifics, so I'll have to defer that to someone else.

I know a few people in the program, and they are mostly either art or design. Drama at CMU is very hard to get into, and I think you probably have to be admitted both H&SS (not that hard) and Drama to be in the BHA program. I may, however, be wrong; I know that architecture under BHA is different from the 5-year architecture program, but the only girl I know in it was originally an architecture major (no BHA).

They put all of the BHA students on a floor together freshman year to form some sort of community- my freshman year, I was on their floor. There were lots of art projects in our lounge.
