<p>Is there anyone out there who has already been accepted into BHP at UT? </p>
<p>I was accepted into the McCombs Business School around mid-December and had my phone interview for BHP on January 11th. I've read in BHP threads from previous years that applicants heard back about their acceptances a week or two after their phone interview. Can anyone tell me if this is true?</p>

<p>I heard bhp decisions are typically released 2 to 3 weeks after phone interviews. to the day, i interviewed 3 weeks ago, suspense sets in.</p>
<p>@ Mustangman–BHP releases all decisions at once, so it will likely be more than 3 weeks by the time you hear.</p>
<p>Do you have to have a phone interview in order to be admitted into the program? Like, if you never got one, do you pretty much have no chance?</p>
<p>That is correct. Phone interviews are mandatory for admission.</p>

Didn’t get anything until a deferral letter in December. Got my BHP interview finally January 25 I believe… I still haven’t heard back from UT general admission lol</p>

<p>My daughter just got her call tonight that she was accepted to BHP, so apparently they are still notifying people. The call was not from UT, but an alumni, so the name on caller ID threw us off for a moment. Now I can relax. :)</p>
<p>UTMom2 - Congrats to your D! We are still in waiting mode. Do you mind sharing a few stats as well as when you D was accepted to the university? We’re still waiting for that as well…My S has 4.4weighted gpa, 2200 SAT, president of jr and sr class, soccer captain, unranked school. We were hoping he would at least be admitted to the university at this point in the process, but we’re still checking MyStatus several times a day! Arghh!!</p>
<p>She has a 4.2 weighted GPA, and made a 2070 on her SAT. Her ECs include four years of drill team, vice president of NHS, two years UIL Literary Criticism/Ready Writing and various school clubs and volunteerism. She was also a National Merit Commended Scholar and a National Hispanic Scholar and is ranked No. 2 in her class out of 447.</p>
<p>She applied to UT the first day applications were accepted and found out she was accepted in September, I think. It was whenever early decisions were sent out.</p>
<p>As far as McCombs, she did not make the early deadline, so didn’t find out until Jan. 27 that she was accepted into that. I think her BHP interview was in mid-January.</p>

<p>I thought the application for McCombs was turned in simultaneously with the UT app. When you select McCombs as your first choice major, you apply for business and there is no “early decision”; only priority deadline which applies to bhp.</p>
<p>That’s probably right. All I know is we were struggling to meet some deadline in December. It may have been BHP. She applied for UT the first night they accepted applications. </p>
<p>Her BHP interview was around Jan. 15. Her McComb’s letter was dated Jan. 27. Her BHP acceptance phone call came Feb. 16 and she got her “Big Envelope” yesterday. No word on any BHP scholarships, unfortunately!</p>
