one of my classmates has already heard from bhp. i haven't heard anything, yet. are others already starting to hear?

Some people have heard, but my son hasn't yet, so I emailed and asked and received this response (from Simon, a student recruiter at BHP, who has posted on this site and bravely gave his email address so that we can get information straight from the horse's mouth)

All decisions will be made by April 1st and will arrive by conventional mail either before or on this date.

At least we know now when to stop stalking the mailman ;)

i anticipate the mail everyday. the only reason i care is because so many other people are getting acceptances (and rejections) to the honors colleges that it makes me wonder why it's taking ut a while to process my app. if others weren't getting letters, i would probably be a little more calm and waiting patiently like i am for another college.
hopefully, the wait will be worth it.

My friend who is not top 10% got in. My friend who is top 10% got rejected.

So I thought it was ironic that my non top 10% friend who is not even automatically admitted to the school got in but my top 10% friend who is didn't.

One of my s's good friends at his school got accepted yesterday, her scores and gpa/rank are identical to my s's. I'm hoping it doesn't hurt my s's chances that another kid from his hs has been accepted - She and he differ in the kinds of ec's and community service that they participated in, I guess that and the essays/interview will be what sets them apart. I hope he doesn't fall short :(

Oh well, only 3 more weeks or less to worry about it!
