<p>Hey, do any of you know when they will be sending out acceptance letters for BHP? I checked last year's thread and the letters should've started coming out right about now. Has anybody received anything from UT yet?</p>

Were you an auto-admit to McCombs or at least top 8%? When did you have your interview?
I guess that means that they have started admitting after all.</p>
<p>@blankusername: You received a phone call? I thought honors notificaitons were by letter.</p>
<p>^ Each honors program handles their own admissions, thus the different timelines for decisions and methods of announcement. Makes it somewhat confusing to follow! </p>

<p>Eaglemom10: some honors programs call and send a letter. BHP usually calls its first round of admits personally to congratulate them. Although not everyone will receive a phone call, some will.</p>

@tiger1992: yeah, I was auto-admitted to McCombs. I had my interview for BHP around Jan. 20th. So I guess they have a pretty quick turnaround time between interviewing and making a decision.</p>
<p>@eaglemom: Yeah I think it does vary for each honors program. My friend who got accepted to Plan II just got a letter. The lady who called me said they are first calling the admits and then sending the official letter a couple days later.</p>

<p>UTAustinR, why do some receive a phone call while others don’t? I’m pretty anxious right now; I had my interview in early December, attended a small BHP recruitment dinner with the director of the program and alumni, yet I still haven’t gotten a call while it seems lots of other kids have, including one at my school. Would calling someone up to inquire as to the status of my application do me any good?</p>
<p>@ellipsis1 I can’t say why some are getting called and others aren’t, but I would sit tight. There could be a lot of reasons. I know for sure that calling won’t get you an answer any faster. They will give you a deadline of March 4th to hear back. </p>
<p>I believe that you will get a phone call eventually, it just might not be before you get your acceptance letter. Don’t be anxious! I’m sure you’ll find out soon one way or another.</p>

<p>Well, with UT being closed today, I imagine the second wave will be delayed. Just be patient.</p>

<p>Thank you for all the information y’all have posted about the BHP process! It has helped me so much in easing my worries about when acceptances will be mailed out! It turns out, I got in, along with a 10k a year scholarship! I was wondering, do they give out this scholarship to all the first wave applicants?</p>
