BHP Rolling Admission?

I was just looking around and noticed that some of you have received BHP acceptances so congratulations!

Does anyone know if you heard because you applied before a certain deadline or is it rolling acceptances?

I had my interview about two weeks ago, I really don't want to wait until February or March lol.

Hook 'em

BHP: All they care about is rank and SAT.

LOL I haven't heard that yet but I would believe it.

Do you know if it is rolling admission?

How about 1490 SAT (800M,690V) and 6/445?

You have the exact same stats as my son! Weird...

That is quite odd.

Has he applied to BHP?

And does anyone know if it is rolling or not?

It is rolling...if you get an interview, then that is a good thing.

collegebound

I was actually looking at a lot of archived collegeconfidential posts today and it seems that although the regular b-school admits part of its applicants based mainly on rank and SAT the honors program is a lot more holistic and focuses on many different criteria, especially leadership.

BHP is not holistic at all. Like collegebound_07 said, all they care about is class rank and standardized test scores. Yes, they say they are throwing in leadership, but it's just to make them look better. If you have the rank, and not necessarily the test scores (which is my case), yet have TONS of ECs and leadership, then you're not going to get in. I hate to say that, but that's been the trend I've seen. And I thoroughly believe that, especially after I got into Plan II early consideration, but I didn't get into BHP. I'm blaming it on the test scores.

With all that said, BHP does NOT take a holistic approach. I wish is was different, but it's not.

Has he applied to BHP?

Nah... he's doing engineering - and hoping to get into Engineering honors - but the essay hasn't seen much progress... :(
