<p>Hi. I am applying for the Business Honors as a sophomore for the fall 2009. what do you think my chances are?</p>

<p>GPA 4.0
Credit hours: 33 + 12 spring 09
Resume - 1 job for 1 year working 20 hrs/week during college and organized a lot of Events during high school + phi theta kappa in college (honor society)
Recommendation: Calc II teacher wants to write me a really really good one.
200 hours community service in high school
50+ hours volunteer work with salvation army
do you think i have a good chance?

<p>it doesnt really matter, on their website it says that sat and act are not to be considered in the admissions process</p>

<p>I would say your shots are very good if you're already at UT. You have a great GPA and a strong resume, I can't see what else they would look for. However, I have no idea what the external transfer rate is for BHP, but I'm guessing it's lower if you're not already at UT. Are you in McCombs already?</p>

<p>nah, am in a community college. i dont think it really matters, because online they didnt mention anything about that.</p>

<p>hmm.. i dont know about that. but i dont think thats correct. because the deadline for bhp is on 1st of may. and if i get accepted late april, I wouldnt have enough time to complete the application. So my guess is to apply before McCombs give the decision and at the same time apply for bhp, in this case if i get accepted into McCombs I would not have to worry about submitting a late application to BHP.</p>
