Did another SEC overhyped, overrated fluffy forget to show up? Prophetic Tim Tebow was on the sidelines. How funny.

I still laugh at this video from happier times for the Gators…

Due to the poor performance by both the Gators and the Bamas (with 1 loss), if ND fell to Bama on the 7th, tOSU will be given the undisputed #1 AP National Champion Title. Go Bucks!! :D

What was up with those Michigan bowl uniforms? Nobody realized that yellow numerals on a white shirt would be unreadable from more than about 50 feet (even with a thin blue line around them)? Here’s a concept: contrast.

TCU is also over-rated, as my Spartans erased double-digit deficit to overcome the horned frogs. Go State!! :D

TOSU - THE Undefeated Cheater!!!

There, I fixed it for you Sparkeye. :-)

Glad State won. Unfortunately:

No one (except rjk) accuses tOSU cheating this season!! All former Ohio State players and coach who had violated NCAA rules left the school TWO seasons ago…

Urban Meyer 1:0 Brady Hoke!! :p

Oh, Spark, you already basked in the glory of winning the Ineligible Bowl against the ill-reputed PSU. You are also smart enough to know that nobody will elevate the season of tOSU to the level of winning a national championship.

There are times that it is best to be quiet --not like that clueless moron PA Governor-- and let REAL contrition takes effect. There has already been enough bravado from the abject corners of Happy Valley.

If Pitt beats Ole Miss the Big East will finish the season 5-0 against the SEC

ND vs. 'Bama is also a [quasi] Big East/SEC matchup (ND having one foot in the Big East), so if the Domers can pull off a victory Monday, it will look even better for the BE (crappy timing however, as the league has as stable a future as Kim and Kanye).

Notre Dame is joining the ACC for basketball

ND is in the ACC.

Another OSU student is making the headline for being stupid. That he was wearing the OSU T-shirt would not help to dispel the party school image that many people may have.

[Steubenville High school leaked video now leads to demands for Michael Nodianos’ expulsion.](<a href=“Breaking Scandal News & Todays Top Stories”>Steubenville High school leaked video now leads to demands for Michael Nodianos' expulsion.)

“ND is in the ACC”

It’s CURRENTLY a member of the Big East for everything but football.

Yes, but with solid ASSets.

Fwiw, after watching the way Oregon played against KSU, one has to wonder why a one loss team in the Pac-12 has to be seen as worse than the one loss wonder of Alabama.

In a way, I now regret that Stanford upended Oregon and gave us that yawner of a championship between the underserving Notre Dame and the overhyped Roll Tide. I know which game I will NOT watch as it will be even poorer than last year’s folly.

The worst of all is that the moron-voters will screw the system once more with an asinine preseason ranking that favors the hillbillies’ conferences.

I was thinking the same, Xiggi. I feel like a team whose only loss was in OT to the #6 team should most likely be in the title game over a team who lost in regulation to the #9 team.

And Oregon has beaten whom this year? UCLA? Arizona? Oregon State?
They are a very good team, but they lost to the one legit team they have played all season… The SEC is down this year granted, but Alabama still beat Georgia and Michigan, which are better than any Oregon wins this season
A&M is the best team in the country right now. They don’t deserve to be in the national championship game because of the lackluster play in the first half of the season, but at this point, I’d pick then to win over anyone in the country.

^yawn. give something more insighful please. it’s disputable that Michigan is better than Oregon State (the latter was ranked higher, according the latest ranking).

i don’t care which conference is better or worse. the fact is SEC has 14 teams yet each of them plays only 8 conference games. this season, alabama didn’t face georgia, florida, and south carolina before the SEC championship. next year and the following years, it’s gonna be some other combinations. by defaullt, SEC simply has better chance of producing more 1-loss or an undefeated teams than anybody else. that they like scheduling cupcakes for their out of conference games doesn’t mitigate this unfair advantage either. once you include the ridiculous preseason rankings that favor the SEC, the advantage is just huge.

The Pac-12 has less teams (12) but each of them plays more conference games (9). let’s make this even clearer: imagine Oregon played only 8 conference games like the SEc and got lucky to avoid Stanford; they would be in the championship game now! or imagine that if Stanford got to avoid Washington, the Stanford vs ND game would decide whom to play NC, instead of just about Stanford being the spoiler.

that said, the BIG is going to have the same unfair advantage once they get 14 teams. it’s time for these conferences to schedule at least 9 conference games; it’s more fair for the system and better for the fans (beating cupcakes are boring).

I agree…I personally hate playing non conference cupcakes. Keep in mind, Auburn and Arkansas are generally top 25 teams with this year being more of an anomaly rather than a trend. I didn’t count the LSU win because I think they are ridiculously overrated this year, but LSU in death valley is definitely better than a won over Oregon state.
Preseason rankings are a combination of 3 factors: previous year performance, returning players, and incoming freshman. The SEC recruits better than any conference in the country. When over half the schools in the conference are top 15 in recruiting year in and year out, its reasonable to say that the talent level alone satisfies the last two conditions.
The SEC is 5-3 in bowls this year so far… Better than the B1G, PAC, and Big 12 with wins over 3 ranked opponents so far
