I recently got an invite to come in for a 2nd interview for one of the Big 4, (Pwc).
I was wondering what to expect. the HR woman told me it lasts for about 3 hr. 1 office tour, 3 interviews.
How should I prepare? DO I ask each interviewer the same question?
BTW, i heard that for some people , a 2nd interview means that you basically got the internship. is this true? please help!
Your super day will likely mostly be behavioral. Each interviewer might approach it differently but it’s primarily a way to get to know you as a person whereas your first interview likely tested your foundational knowledge. I definitely wouldn’t just ask each interviewer the same question. It’s okay to ask some of the same questions to get different perspectives on the same topic but it will likely be very conversational so it can go in many different directions.
A super day definitely does not guarantee you the internship. Success rates can vary widely because they are basically picking from an already filtered pool of candidates that they likely know can handle the workload and are thus looking for people with personalities that will not only be fun to work with but could potentially be great at the firm full-time. For some super days that could include all of the candidates or only 50%, it really depends on the quality of the candidate class and the interviewers’ impressions.
Typically you have a few interviews with people of different levels (ex. a partner, a manger etc). It is fine to ask each interview the same questions as long as they make sense within the flow of the conversation. You might hear the same question more than once from different interviewers as well. The Big 4 interviews are typically conversational in tone, they are more trying to assess how you might fit in etc. The assumption based on your college/grades is that you will be a competent accountant so there typically are not technical accounting questions asked.
Agree that a second interview definitely does not guarantee you will get an internship. Good luck.
