big 4- location preference matter?

I'm preparing for on campus interview w/ big 4 firms
and I was wondering if location preference matter in the decision process.
(I heard there are quota for each offices)
I prefer L.A. area but I was worried about too much competition with UCLA, USC students. Picking non-popular area would help? and once get the job, is it easy to move btw offices?

and also, I graduated this summer from UCI w/ B.A. in Econ and minor in business management. The school won't allow double minor in management and accounting, so I graduated 1 year early and currently taking professional accountant certificate program at cc, expecting to finish in june 2009. would this be disadvantage over regular accounting minor students? my g.p.a is around 3.3

thanks~

I hear it does. If you interview for the LA office and also, say, the Calgary office, and nobody wants to work at the Calgary office, they might hire you over someone who's equally qualified (or just a little more) but I don't think it's a huge factor. Anyone can be incentivized into relocating with enough cash combined with threats of termination. :D Or they could just simply fly people into Calgary.
