I'm currently a sophomore at the university of Richmond and I transferred here from another school last year for personal reasons. However, I've had a really bad semester and ended up with a 2.8. However, since I'm a transfer my school will only put this semester's GPA on the school's recruiting system which I'm pretty sure means that I won't get an interview for any of the big 4 or even other firms because it looks like my cumulative is a 2.8 instead of 3.3 which it really is. My problem is trying to decide if I should stay at Richmond or Transfer again to GMU (which would be much cheaper anyways). If I were to stay at Richmond, I wouldn't have an externship this year which would make it hard to get an internship next year. And since my GPA is so low right now, I don't think I could get it high enough where I would stand out that much. However, richmond's accounting program is much more reputable than GMU and the big 4 does recruit more here. However, if I were to transfer, then my freshman and sophomore year grades would be averaged out and I could try to get an internship at GMU my junior year. Also, I know people that go to both schools and from what it seems like, I feel that a higher GPA would be more likely at GMU in addition to my cumulative being higher. But, that worries me because I'm not sure how many people the big 4 takes from GMU. What do you think would be my best option?
