Big discrepancy between ACT/GPA and SAT--should I still send SAT?

I have a 35 composite ACT, a 3.98/4.34 unweighted/weighted GPA. My SAT II scores (which I am definitely sending) are 800 Molecular Bio, 780 Chem, 760 Math IIC. Now, this is all just fine and dandy, but... I also have a 2180 SAT, superscored.

I'm going to be applying to colleges such as Williams, Amherst, Middlebury... aka really good schools, and I feel as if my SAT is a little subpar. I know it's not bad, but I do feel as if it detracts from my application a bit.

So I ask: is it better just to send my SAT scores and let colleges do what they will with them, or should I just not send them?

Thanks in advance!

If the colleges do not specify that you send ALL your test results, than it makes no sense to send the SAT scores. The colleges will convert your 35 ACT to around a 1560 SAT if they need to, which is top 1% anyway. http://professionals.collegeboard.com/profdownload/act-sat-concordance-tables.pdf

Even with those that ask that you send ALL test scores, the front office will likely put the highest score into the assembled admissions folder and not do so for the lower score.

Maybe this scale has changed a little as the ACT is becoming more popular, but that conversion will be close to 1560 currently – 1540, 1530, something like that.

Alright, so let’s say that I don’t send my SAT scores.

However, Rice requires me to send all of my scores (so I would have to send my SAT), so wouldn’t I have to indicate my SAT scores on the common app? So the other colleges would see it regardless?

then fill out Rice’s own app – I assume they have one that is uncommon, yes?

No, they only use the common app…
