Has everyone received their big envelope? I haven’t gotten my big acceptance letter yet, but i did get the invitation a while ago. I’m worried that they sent it to me by accident or something (I know thats stupid to think, but everyone else has received the package around here and I havent!)

I haven’t heard anything from NYU yet, so you’re not alone.

Granted, I live all the way out in Oregon but still it’s hard to determine when something will arrive by U.S. Mail. Don’t worry!

Just arrived in CA yesterday. Outside envelope is white, inside folder is purple. It did not say what studio, though, but my D said CAP 21 only, at audition. How did others get studio confirmation?

Nobody would have studio confirmation as the studio assignment letters are released about a week after the acceptance packet.

Mom4X, your D would know her studio assignment simply because she said “CAP only” at her audition and so it is implied she is admitted to CAP but the formal letters are not out yet.

The same thing is worrying me! Has there been a case where NYU sent an invitation by mistake?

No…if you got the invitation, you WILL be accepted. Simply, your package has not yet arrived in the mail. Be patient. I know it is hard. It is due to come around April 1, give or take.

Do you have to get an invitation to be accepted? Or are there cases where they just send the big envelope?

There have been some people who have gotten in without an invitation. Thanks for calming me down soozievt, you help so many people in this forum and it’s so great to have you here. :)
