Big Misunderstanding

Addressed to everyone who is a part of Cornell forum

in the thread titled "Sparticus, Gomestar...Anyone in Cornell already" there was a BIG MISUNDERSTANDING!!!!!!! I said ED is binding only for US universities, not US citizens. This means, even a US citizen, if he gets thru Dartmouth ED could go to IIT or Oxford!!!!!!!!! THANKS A LOT EVERYONE FOR MISUNDERSTANDING MY QUERY AND ALMOST GETTING ME DEBARRED CC. I just hope no Cornell admission officer sees it.

(Sparticus: I thought i had explained that to u in a private mssg.... u could have corrected them u know... i came back only today from abroad and so couldn't correct u guys before)

SORRY FOR THE MISUNDERSTANDING.

I really hope that Cornell admission off's don't patrol these threads

Calm down.....just because you made an error, nobody is going to come and track you down. People on CC mistakenly post statements of fact all the time......it happens. Don't worry so much.

hazmat, thats very easy for u to say... i on the other hand have to now worry abt the Cornell Admission officers rescinding my offer bec i mislead a buncha students., when actually i old them somethin factually right but they misunderstood it

First off, they don't give a ****. Really.

And secondly, if you are so worried about people spying on you through this or something, why are you using what appears to be your real name as your screen name?

I think NOT. You are dramatizing this beyond a reasonable concern. You cannot be responsible for the misinterpretation of other people. If what you said was factual then you really had no need to apologize.

lol...007 you should change your screen name.

live- good point... when i registered at CC, i didn't know that Username meant anythin u wanted...bein from India where we usually do things with our real names, i gave my real name and it continues...

Honor of name is a good thing........makes one think twice about posting trash. I commend you. Congrats on your acceptance.

hazmat... just a hunch i have from the number of posts uve made... but r u already a student at Cornell... if so which college and which major

hazmat I disagree with you. Most don't give out their real names simply because they don't want strangers to know their full name.

No I am at Penn '07. Are you telling me I'm long in the tooth?

Hey there NJ we are talking a cultural experience here.....apparently you missed that our your CR score was low.

Well obviously no offcial from Cornell patrols this board. Remember that time when someone released a leaked link to the ED results? They didn't know anything about it until Mr. Roger Dooley called them up.

is that true? i dunno...CC's a pretty big phenomenon...guys in India like me even know abt it... it would be pretty lame not to patrol a forum abt ur own university

oh chill out...you can't get you admissions rescinded for that crap...this thread is reminiscent of drinkingmilkalldaylong's series of posts.

hahaha yes it is spanks. sorry arjun, i didn't notice the distinction between citizen and university, as retarded as it sounds isolated from context ;)

an admissions officer would never consider rescinding or doing anything at all about that... this is a board where you can say whatever the hell you want- at worst your post will get removed by an administrator

this isnt a maoist china message board

HAHA.. so arjun, youre worried about that 0% chance of your acceptance getting revoked and therefore you blame everyone who read your post for believing you. Yep, makes sense to me.. hahaha....

give arjun a break, although some of what he says may sound rediculous to us, he is from a different culture with different attitudes than us
