arjun, you completely misinterpreted what jackhammersuit was saying... he isnt saying that you have 0% chance of getting accepted, but rather a 0% chance of getting revoked

haha don't worry man. It seems like your culture is a bit different from american culture, but I think you'll be fine at cornell. Not only is everyone very tolerant and intelligent, but being immersed in American/college culture, and coming with an open mind, I feel you'll adjust quickly, even if you don't want to engage in everything that's typically college american. Just be really friendly with your neighbors, and everyone, actually, during orientation week, and you'll have friends for sure. This advice goes to everyone. There are no preconceptions when you meet others at cornell, other than that the person is smart and talented, of course. It's a great place.

Arjun, your posts are hilarious...you need to read the Inscrutable Americans....

whats inscrutable americans? and why do all indians do "...' after a sentence... me included

I dont know...

Inscrutable Americans.....a funny book about Indian culture.

"whats inscrutable americans? and why do all indians do "...' after a sentence... me included"-

Its a book by Anurag Mathur, it's very famous and it will have an impact on you(maybe for good maybe for bad). On the other hand you could just pick up a Feast For Crows.

I include '...' simply because I like my ellipses. Im sure you have some eccentricities of your own, but you don't hear me judging you...

Funny in Farsi by Firoozeh Dumas is another book you might read.
