<p>I accidentally thought that December 15th was the deadline to schedule an interview (I was planning to call tomorrow, Dec. 9). It turns out that the deadline was Dec. 1. Is my application doomed? What should I do?</p>

<p>As others have said, most ECs will be flexible with respect to scheduling interviews -- they know everybody's busy, and that people forget about deadlines. </p>
<p>Just be aware that you are asking your EC to do something he/she doesn't have to do, so make sure you're appropriately diplomatic and polite. :)</p>
