big problem!

how in the world do you get a letter of recommendation for a research position if you are a community college student who didn't have much contact with professors the first semester, and in high school, you really didn't care because you never needed a letter of recommendation from a teacher! So who do I turn to, I don't want this to stop me from being an intern or ending up at a research position. And I wish it was only one letter of recommendation, but the majority of them are two! that means two teachers that I have to think of to write me a good letter of recommendation. How would you approach this?

Btw, is there any research or intern positions that may not require two letters of recommendation, maybe at least one.

Thanks.

Your best bet is to try contacting PI's of local colleges yourself.

If you apply for outside internships, yes, you will likely need 2-3 letters of rec.

who are PI's?

principle investigators. the big cheese of the labs

Or private investigators. You can hire a PI to find out which PIs are willing to take students.
