i already saw that and decided to print it out n check stuff off once i got there. Its kind of dissapointing that some of that stuff is like, sleeping with your profs though (and thatl get em fired).

Do you have a facebook?

Yeah, I created a facebook in September when I decided to apply for Cornell and haven’t touched it since last week, when I started adding friends and updating it. Still don’t have any pics of myself on it yet, just my Cornell acceptance page thingy.

pm me your info then and ill add you

This sounds awesome.

let’s see…I did: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 33, 34, 35, 37, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 51, 52, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 71, 73, 75, 76, 79, 80, 81, 82, 84, 86, 87, 89, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 101, 102, 107, 108, 111, 112, 116, 117, 119, 120, 122, 127, 128, 129, 137, 146, 147, 148, 149, 150, 153, 155, 156, 158, 159, 160

Ooo nice dewdrop. You’re really an inspiration. Were you actually trying to complete the list or did those things just happen?

What was it like hugging Bill Nye and how did that professor respond to 160?

Some things just happened…some I did so I could check things off on the list :-)

You can achieve 91 whether you get into Cornell or not.

Dew – Did you actually throw fish onto the ice? And did you seriously never climb McGraw?

1 2 3 4 5 6 8 10 11 12 13 14 15 17 18 20 21 22 23 25 26 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 36 38 40 41 42 43 44 45 46 47 48 52 53 54 56 57 58 59 60 61 62 63 64 66 69 73 76 77 79 82 84 85 86 87 88 89 89 91 92 93 94 95 96 97 98 99 100 101 102 104 105 106 107 108 109 111 113 114 117 118 119 120 121 122 125 126 128 129 130 131 132 136 137 138 141 142 143 144 146 148 148 159 151 152 153 154 155 156 157 158 160 161

Couple of notes:

– I really regret never ice skating in Lynah nor milking a cow.

– Back in my day, the Corn Nuggets were at Chariot, which is now Level B.

– It’s remarkable the number of students who don’t climb to the top of the clocktower on a regular basis. I can’t think of a month that went by during my time as a Cornellian that I didn’t do it. Great views and an exhilarating sound!

– My first year at Cornell online add/drop had yet to be added, so we actually got up at 5AM on the Wednesday or Orientation week and stood in line outside of Barton for three hours. You kids have it so easy with your laptop computers and cell phones, you don’t even know it.

– The original list was published back in the 90s, and didn’t feature as many items that revolved around drinking or hooking-up. It’s quite good, and I’ll see if I can’t dig it up.

Did you really go skinny dipping? lol

Of course! I did it my first week at Cornell, as well as my last!

Someone should create a facebook group for this :).

I did throw fish…pegged the goalie (that was not intentional…I swear!) Still surprised I made it in…or get caught throwing.

No…never climbed McGraw…I tried…but I destroyed my knee while swimming…it’s difficult for me to walk long distances or in this case, climb McGraw. Lame…I know…but when I return to the Hill I will make myself do it :-)

Hugging Bill Nye was like having a religious experience…I wish some of intelligence would have rubbed off on me!

Actually…the prof didn’t react negatively to my comments…we talked about it and she said should take my comments into consideration for the following year’s class.

Yea, i was looking at that, and I was thinking that if every UG does BRA, then there will be a lot of pregnant TAs, which would be hilarious.

This list is too campo-centric, anyone who confines themselves just to campus is missing something.

Go for nice walks, picnics or a swim at the beautiful state parks ringing the city: Treman, Buttermilk Falls,Taughannock Falls.

Take a boat out on Cayuga Lake.

Stop off at Purity Ice Cream.

Go to the area concerts, in Stewart Park and Trumansburg.

Visit The Rongovian Embassy (if that’s still there)- with a designated driver. And don’t speed on your way home.

We used to go to various area night spots, eg. The Haunt. I’m sure the specific venues have changed, but there’s undoubtedly other stuff out there.

House-sit sometime at a house on the lake.

Also Bound For Glory isn’t on that list, that was a concert series I quite enjoyed, still going on.

As for skinny-dipping, in the stone-age, in the summer we went to “the reservoir”.

As promised:

[2shared - download 161 Things.pdf](http://www.2shared.com/file/4463552/4c7154ee/161_Things.html)

I second everything that Monydad has suggested. I think you will find that the original list is a much more balanced list. I’ve unfortunately never been to the Rongo, though.

Dew – Sorry to hear about your bad knees! I never thought swimming could take such a toll on the body until I had a concussion and a hernia my senior year due to swimming. I definitely couldn’t make it to the top of the tower in my present situation, but I’m grateful for all of the times that I did!

The Rongo was/ (is?) famous for its B*****d series of adult beverages:
Suffering, Dying, and Dead, IIRC.

I’ve been through the series, back in the day, but wouldn’t even think about touching one now.

They had a map of Rongovia behind the bar. And some pretty darned good live music.

The local police made a living snagging students driving back to Ithaca from there, though.

I like how the intro to the list is written like a philosophy article… ha
