Chicago isn’t going anywhere. It’s one the financial centers of the world, as well as being a top 5 gdp city. Chicago’s industry is much more diversified than Detroit.

APR is a bit of a farce since it is based upon a five year scale and punishes teams in transition. If a student transfers to another univerisity, its APR takes a hit even if that student graduates from another school. Michigan had lots of transfers during it’s Rich Rodriguez years, and thus its APR dropped tremendously. Its going to be much higher once those low numbers from a few years ago fall off.

For the past two calendar years it was 983 and 981.

^So I guess Michigan matches Ohio State. :)

Well, some academic compromises have been made at Michigan for decades for otherwise underqualified students. Otherwise Michigan would have about the same overalll football record as a school like Northwestern. Granted NU has been improving in football the past few years, but it still traditionally trails to the top dogs in the league.

“So I guess Michigan matches Ohio State”

That’s ok. This is one area I don’t mind matching up with tOSU. After all, they are tied for the top 7 spot in the country.

Rutgers will have a field day in the Big Ten, and take the league’s APR back up to snuff. Insert eye-roll and bellylaugh here.

^^Yes, the 7th spot is higher than expected, considering their success and the stereotype that star-recruits have higher tendency not to graduate.

Lol @ Urban Myer’s claim of Bible sessions. I just hope we won’t have another murderer coming out of his program. OTOH, Pat Fitzgerald doesn’t need or talk about Bible sessions to have his players behave and graduate at the highest rate!

Too bad - a lot of talk from UCBChemEGrad but no dice.

The poor teddy bears couldn’t beat the 'Cats even when they were missing their 2 most dynamic offensive players.

And the teddy bears had to hold on to win against PSU (Portland State that is) at home.

UCBChemEGrad has been talking his mouth off even when the Tedford years came crashing down; maybe he should wait until UCB has a good season.
