it's about time they reached an agreement. Missed seeing a lot of Big 10 football and basketball games last year :(

Me too. Comcast is our only cable choice.

Doesn't help us in Madison.

"It's Comcastic!"

Yes it is. This weekend we rented Charlie Wilson's War. I forgot to check if it was available in Hi Def and after a few minutes I ordered it again in HD. The next day we called Comcast, talked to a real American person within 10 seconds and they waived the first fee just like that. Only $5 but that's good service.

^ Nice!

I have Time Warner...I would have been on hold for a half hour.

More like Comcrapstic... ;-) I know a lot of folks that can't stand Comcast, but since they essentially have a legal monopoly they really don't have any other choice.

it was frustrating last year with tubby signing with the gophers and bringing his uptempo running style and then you can't catch a single game unless it was on espn/national tv. :( I am really looking forward to seeing his highly-ranked recruting class this year. And finally, to see Big Ten football again!!!

I just have one thing to say... Dish Network.

We've got Charter Communications here. My dad has been complaining to them since August because we don't get the Big Ten Network. Maybe someday..

This may be great for big 10 fans, but it is terrible for everyone else. {quote]Comcast paying 70 to 80 cents, as sources indicated, that represents a massive cash influx.

The issue here was that BTN did not want this priced as a premium channel. They wanted everyone to pay for it, whether they watch BTN or not.

This same tactic has been used by a number of other sports channels, and is a big contributor to high cable bills. It is one of the reasons (but certainly not the only one) why we don't have cable.

Frankly, as long as my normal basic and premier service changes stay the same, I couldn't care less. If Comcast raises the basic fees for this then I will be upset.

Well, out of my 200 or so channels there are about 15 I watch often. Now there will be 16. We all pay for stuff we don't use much on cable. But I don't mind.
