Big White Envelope, no outside indication

My daughter received a large white envelope from Carleton today. It is postmarked 2/05/2007. No markings on the outside to indicate what's inside like some colleges do. Anyone else get one who has opened it? I'm resisting the temptation to open it as she is an EDII applicant and it could possibly be the news she has been hoping for. It could also be more financial aid forms or whatever. It will be hours before I see her, anybody out there who also received this large plain white envelope? What's inside?

Sounds like good news to me! I can't remember anything but my acceptance letter coming in a large, white envelope when I applied last year. Of courese I can't be certain, but it sounds like congratulations are in order!

Shadow, you are so nice to reply so quickly. I hope you are right. I'll know in a couple of hours (seems like forever) when I see my D. If it is good news, I'll post again. Thanks again for your response.

i definitely think thats the acceptance letter...

gd luck !!!

The RD acceptances last year came in a large white envelope. Inside was a dark blue folder with the acceptance info in it.

Keeping my fingers crossed for your daughter!

I just got in! With an envelope just like that! Tell her I'll see her there...! :D can't stop smiling

She's in! I am so happy for her and she is more excited than I think I have ever seen her. Wow, two years in a row of daughters applying to college. First daughter is a freshman at Macalester, so this is too good to be true having them this close together. Our youngest D (9th grade) already wants to schedule her visit to see both of her sisters this fall. Congratulations to the other members of the class of 2011. Enjoy this moment you worked so hard for.
