Bigger Decision

So, i have been accepted at UCLA (MATH/ECON) and Cal for Econ. Howevr I got into Cal for spring 2010. I desperately want to go to Cal coz of its prestige and name and Econ program, and i dislike mathematics. At cal i intend to take statistics as my minor and live in the bay area.

Heres's the drama;
I live with my aunt uncle and i don't know if theyll let me live with them for fall semester as they expect me nd bro to move out by fall. Bro's going to UCLA for same program. That's the main reason why i don want to go to UCLA.
So if i go with cal spring 2010, what shud i do for the next 5 months?
I need to know by tomorrow (SIR deadline)

If Cal is your dream school and you got accepted, there should be no hesitation to wait it out. If you head over to UCLA, you’ll always have that “what if” regret in the back of your mind haunting you for years to come. In terms of what you should do for the next five months, try to work things out with your aunt and uncle if possible and if you really want to live there. Otherwise, I have a few friends that are going through the same situation as you (two got deferred to spring semester for Cal; three got deferred to winter quarter for UCSD) and most of them are moving to the Berkeley/San Diego area and either working or taking a few classes at the ccc’s over there until they start school.

nice solution ty

just considering this… wut can you possibly do with econ major afterward…

cuz i think math/econ plays a bigger role than pure econ.

but since cal is ur dream school… so it’s gonna be a hard decision to make…

I know that UCLA and Berk are more or less on par, but Berkeley just seems to be a bigger name, considering that we econ majors will end up job hunting somewhere on the east coast.
So this is why making a decision is so not easy

so yea, i just turned in my SIR @ cal
