Biggest fear at boarding school

What is you biggest fear?

What scary horror stories does everyone have?

If you are going to Exeter, you should worry about Andover beating you in sports and stuff. :D

I’ve always felt awkward about cutting my nails in front of someone else :(

annnd, I’m scared about the bathrooms, which are shared by everyone in the dorm :(

Football: Exeter 31, Andover 14
Hockey: Exeter 4, Andover 3
Squash: Exeter 7, Andover 0
Lacrosse: Exeter 9, Andover 4
etc.

Living on… -shudder- communal bathrooms.

Are there any dorms at Exeter that have their own bathrooms for each room?

urbanflop, that’s funny!

Coyotes and red foxes in the woods of NH can be scary at times. :D

thanks god thats like actually one of my biggest fears… getting lost in the wilderness… shudder

My biggest fear in boarding schools? Getting acne.

detrmineddude, thats a good one!
i always get acne when im stressed (march10 much) and it seems like it will be like that at exeter 24/7 but WHATEVER

I am most afraid about my sports teams being really bad, but I can’t complain when my lax team hasn’t won a game all year…

Having my school turn out to actually be Hogwarts, with me still left as a muggle.

JK

In all honesty. Not succeeding academically is my biggest fear.

you guys are so funny

me would be get in the school exeter

my biggest fear is probs not having any friends. thats what im most afraid of in life, really :)

dear: not being able to hadnle the load.

They did studies at Harvard and every kid thinks they got in by mistake, that only the other kids are smart…you will all succeed academically, you can all handle the load. Work hard, but try to enjoy yourselves too.

I’m actually afraid of not being able to stand out. I mean, at my school, I know that I’ll be considered somewhat “smart” and I’ll get onto varsity swimming and varsity track. At the boarding schools, however, everything’s bumped up and I don’t feel like I’ll be able to make it onto varsity anything, looking at the stats of the current athletes there. They’re all so incredible; it makes me feel kind of inferior (yes, yes, I know the Eleanor Roosevelt quote.) So I’m pretty afraid of that. But I’m not going next year. I hope that I’ll be able to get in in 2011 though! :)

I just have to say, as an “oldster” communal bathrooms were probably on the list of my own “fears” when heading off to BS many moons ago. Well, the really funny thing is, aside from remembering the communal bathroom’s existence ( which, by the way, had the honor of being in the Largest Girls Dormitory Building in the USA at the time ), I don’t really remember it at all.
So I guess it just wasn’t that big a deal !

Haha, hopefully it won’t be bad. Funny, when I did my revisit at Exeter I was enjoying everything so much I didn’t even think of going to the bathroom or going in, so I didn’t see it at all.

Running out of clean underwear.
