AKittka, what did you do for Science specifically(you had the same that I used to have)? I definitely ran out of time, but is managing time the main thing that you need to work on when taking practice tests?

^ yeah definitely. and i would suggest going straight to the questions for science and finding the answers in the information. i was hoping for a better science score, but for some reason i wasted too much time (time management again) on other passages and had to guess on the last 5 questions. take practice tests under timed conditions as well. i'm sure you can definitely raise your score.

Composite:29
The 1st 3 scores went above my expectations so it's a jump for me; just one more point on any section and I would have broken the 30 barrier.

I went from a 24 math to a 32 math.. 30 to 32 composite. 30 to 34 reading.. hmm that's it. my English stayed the same, and my science went down.

^If you are familiar with the SAT Writing portion, then ACT English is just as easy. Read up on some rules in Princeton Review, but honestly what helped me was paying a lot of attention in 9th-10th grade English class, and the ACT is all about your success in your curriculum.

For Reading, I got a 31(and I got a 560 on the January SAT Critical Reading). I did something different though from the January SAT and read the whole passage first, and after 1 or 2 paragraphs, look around through the questions to find questions that relate to the 2 paragraphs you just read since they're so fresh in your mind. Other than that, just try to get more from what you read(comprehension+speed) by practicing passages.

i got a 34 in english so maybe i can help you?!?! its my first time too.while some people find it helpful to do the corresponding questions as they read the passage, i first read the passage and then answer the questions that go with it. This is because it gives u a better overall sense of the meaning of the passage as well as the structure and rhetorics and helped me do better on rhetorical questions. For the punctuation/grammar questions, u just have to be familiar with some grammar rules. also, the act likes to trick u with long, overlywordy choices so if u see those as choices, pick the most concise one. it all comes down to practice really if u wanna improve and learning some grammar rules. sry i cant help u in reading, but ima get a better reading score next time (time management issues on June ACT lol).

This was my third time taking it.
First time I had no prep at all, the second time i had a little prep, this time I had a lot more but still not very much. I think what helped the most was just being comfortable with the test.

Comp: 34!! (+5 from second time)
Eng: 34 (+7)
Math: 33 (+1)
Reading: 32 (+2)
Science: 35 (+7)

I probably wont retake unless I did poorly on the writing section. I can't believe it, if I had one more question wrong, it would have dropped my score to a 33...

AKittka, how the HECK did you go up by 7?!?! I got a 28 on this one, i just want a 30 but i'm not sure how to go about doing this the right way. it's making me kinda sad :(
