Bikes at UNL

Just wondering how useful bikes are on campus. Do most people bring one?

My son will be a freshman this fall so I don’t have direct knowledge but I thought this looked pretty neat. https://news.unl.edu/newsrooms/today/article/community-bike-share-service-coming-to-campus/. Not sure how it’s working out? $10 for an annual pass for students seems like a great deal as long as bikes are available when needed. Especially for out of state students who can’t transport bikes too easily.

It’s not a big campus, and one probably isn’t necessary if you are living on-campus and want it only for transportation to class. My son took both of his unicycles, and usually doesn’t use them around campus (unless he’s going to a Circus Arts Club meeting  ).

Might be more useful if you live off-campus, or want to do some recreational riding.
