<p>How common is it to find bikes on Purdue's campus? Its around 3/4 of a miles from my dorm to the building that most of my classes will be in, but I don't know how 'bike friendly' the campus is (i.e. the number of bike racks on campus, how crowded the campus gets, etc.). Any thoughts?</p>
<p>the campus is fully bike accessible. i didn't ride mine all that much, (my friends rode my bike a lot more than i did). i liked walking more to classes. during the winter i dont like to ride the bike mainly because the wind makes pedaling fairly difficult.</p>
<p>Bikes are common. You need to register it when you arrive, but they had that available right at the dorm during check in. I'm pretty sure all residence halls have bike rakes as well as the classroom buildings. They are definitely helpful, but they do also have the bus runs now from the dorms to the class buildings.</p>
