<p>Okay, so I am a little confused.</p>
<p>My total bill for fall quarter is a little over $9,000. We requested the bill be divided into payments. So my first bill was $6,188.12 ($5,938.12 minus housing advance and SIR). My financial aid for each quarter gives $2,488.00. So what we did was subtract the financial aid from $6,188.12 and paid the school $3,440.12. </p>
<p>Now it says in the future I owe $5,570.00... but that doesn't make sense, since if my total was over $9,000 and you subtract the $6188.12, it is around $3000... Does this mean that it has not subtracted my aid out yet?</p>
<p>When are we supposed to second half of the bill (roughly 3,000)? By Sept. 15th? </p>
<p>Also, how do we know that our financial aid was taken out? I already faxed in my verification of preloan counseling and have done my MPN a while ago...</p>
<p>Should I call the office monday (since their not responding to my email)?</p>
<p>The financial aid won’t show up as a reduction on the bill until they use it to pay it off. So it will still show your full total until the first week of school or so when UCSC uses your financial aid to pay that amount of your bill. </p>
<p>Don’t worry, this had me panicked when my portal said I owed 9,500 dollars before fall quarter last year. Once financial aid kicked in at the beginning of the quarter though it paid the total automatically and there was nothing to worry about.</p>
<p>Just make sure you gave UCSC the permission to use your financial aid to automatically pay your bills.</p>
<p>I already gave them permission! So thank goodness! I saw the disbursion date is 9/14, which is cool… but then when do i need to have the FULL amount of tuition paid after they take out the aid? My aid doesn’t take the total… it was only $2488 each quarter… So do I need to pay the rest of the balance by september 15th?</p>
<p>yeah I believe you need to use sallie mae to pay that before the 15th so there aren’t any late fees or whatever</p>
