I've heard about the BIMS program at Texas A&M but can't find much info on it. Is it an honors program? Is it difficult to get in? When applying on applytexas, is there an option to put BIMS as your major? Any information on the program would be extremely helpful! Thanks!

A quick Google search gave me this -

[Biomedical Sciences - Texas A&M Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences](http://vetmed.tamu.edu/bims)

It is not an honors program, it is not competitive, and I would not recommend the program. This is a path that some pre-meds take, and if you don’t make it to med school then I don’t honestly see how great of opportunities this degree will open up.

This list has quite a bit of professions that can be achieved with this major.

any specific reasons it’s not a good program?
