I'm applying as a transfer from SUNY Old Westbury, and I was wondering what my chances are for Bing? I applied in august and from what I know, they have just started downloading the applications. I have a 3.7 with 32 credits after my freshmen year and I am currently taking 20 credits this semester. I'm hoping this is my last semester at OW. How do my chances look for the spring?

bump…

bump…

Which school are you applying to? This will affect any predictions someone can give you.

I’m applying to Binghamton University.

there are different schools within binghamton – harpur (liberal arts), school of management, school of nursing, school of engineering, school of community and public affairs – how hard it is to transfer in depends on which of these schools you are applying to.

Looks likely to me…good luck!

I’m applying to Harpur as a history major.

Thanks ISD. I hope you’re right :)

Does it matter that I used the SUNY application? Does that affect my chances at all?

You have a great GPA, so you’ll probably have a good shot. Good luck.

And no, using the SUNY app doesn’t do anything extra really, just gives you a supplement to fill out (if transfers use that, I’m not sure).

Thank you Caemin. I actually was not told to fill out a supplemental. When I called undergraduate admissions they said that I didn’t need to fill out a supplemental unless they requested one.

Well that’s good, less stuff to fill out. Good luck.
