Bing or Stony for Computer Engineering?

Hello everyone,

I am trying to decide which school to go to in the fall for my Computer Engineering major.

Binghamton is supposed to be a more prestigious school in NY and better overall, but Stony Brook is recognized as a top world university and has a better program for Computer Engineering.

I also read that Binghamton put a new engineering and science building up at Watson which will open in the fall which might be neat.

Overall Stony Brook is more convenient for me to attend, and I have to pick between these two due to costs. Which should I choose?

Stony Brook University is far better in the Engineering programs and Applied Sciences. If you are really interested in any science field, Stony is the place to go. SBU is widely known for that and has a good reputation. I am doing Computer Science at SB even though I started out as a Computer Engineering here four years ago. I liked CS better but the Computer Eng is a great program.

Stony Brook is cheaper i believe. Check the school out and if you visit it make sure you go around the Engineering Quad (quadrangle) as thats the main location of many classes.
