Bingham Hall?

Anyone know anything about living at Bingham Hall? Are the suites typically large? Any other info would be really appreciated too! Thank you!

You might be able to find something on google or facebook. A quick search yielded: [Wenjie’s Campus Exploration Reports: Bingham Hall ? Exploration Report](Wenjie's Campus Exploration Reports: Bingham Hall – Exploration Report)

The library described in that article is for graduate students, and is not open to undergrads. All of the Old Campus dorms are pretty similar, with suites that consist of a common room and a number of bedrooms, generally a mix of singles and doubles. They’re all decent, but some are nicer than others, depending on when they were renovated.

Here’s an article that’s about a decade old with some more specifics: [Make yourself at home: frosh housing | Summer 2001](yaleherald.com)

Thank you I’ve seen both of those articles! I guess what I meant is, how do the Bingham rooms compare to the other Old Campus rooms, but that’s hard to answer. Also, does anyone know if the bathrooms are in-suite?

“Bingham (for Calhoun and Trumbull) are pretty middle of the road - not a lot of singles and there’s not much room …”

“I need to defend Bingham’s honor. It isn’t that bad. The rooms are not that small at all, our common room is spacious, we have a lot of singles (my suite had 4 singles - maybe this is only the Calhoun side of Bingham, or maybe just my entryway), we have one of the 2 laundry rooms in the basement, elevator in the tower (which makes moving in and out A LOT easier, even if you have to cross over on the 5th floor), and the Chaplain’s Office (with free ice cream and goodies) in the basement.”

“Bingham is still quite nice. The rooms are small, but it is a very interesting building, and the tower has an elevator. And there are more singles than L-W or Vanderbilt, and some large suites, which is nice to have.”
