Anyone denied acceptance but offered Binghamton Advantage Program acceptance?
We just got the same offer. We are not clear about it, so much mixed info out there regarding this program that’s not helping us to decide if this offer is a good option. What are your thoughts? Have you heard about this program? And why not accepting for spring 2020, so this offer is better than that?
My D and a neighbor got the offer. My thoughts - this is a great offer for a student who really wants to get to Binghamton, but isn’t qualified - or is qualified and wants to be at Bing so badly they will do anything to transfer. That is not my D and not my neighbor, and I suspect not many of those offered the program.
Binghamton has become so popular that perhaps they find it difficult to turn down so many applicants who are qualified. The Wait List or Guaranteed Transfer are the conventional consolation prizes for that. The BAP seems to be trying to use the overflow to manage enrollment not only at Bing but also at Broome.
