I already got into Wesleyan University with a $54,500 scholarship/grant and no loans. I'll pay less than $2,000/year to attend the university.
What will Binghamton offer us? And honestly, not to sound rude or anything, but it better be good or else the top applicants are going to attend elsewhere.

I doubt they’ll offer much more than work study and loans. Unless you somehow qualify for Pell and TAP.

By the way, congrats on Wesleyan!

Generally Binghamton does not give many merit based scholarships as the tuition is, compared to most schools, low. The money they give to students is based on your FAFSA and financial need.

even if you are instate go to wesleyan… thats a no-brainer. Most state schools can’t afford to pass out scholarships like private schools, especially binghamton with its extremely low OOS tuition

Damn, got my hopes down for a free ride. It’s bad enough that they have to wait so long to give us our decisions, but to add insult to injury by giving less to highly-qualified applicants than a much more prestigious university would? No offense to Binghamton or anything. I admire the school; I just dislike their admissions and financial aid process. But then again, it’s really not their choice. They have a much more limited budget than more selective institutions.
Well, to Wesleyan University I go this fall!

Next child will be applying to Wesleyan…Good Luck!

Absolutely… go to Wesleyan. That is an amazing school. A relative of ours is graduating from there this year – is in some sort of independent honors program – and absolutely loves it.
By the way, he picked it over Brown, with no financial aid from either.
Congrats!!

Have any IS gotten an official acceptance?
