Binghamton Class of 2024 Thread

I applied EA to Decker and received my acceptance on 12/6.
GPA 97.35 weighted and 1320 SAT

@kwoolverton12 when did u apply?

Applying EA to Watson, any idea as to when a new wave of Watson decisions will come out?

Based on the past years postings, I don’t think they outright reject, I think they defer you to RD and then at that point you fall into a general pool and then, if there is a rejection, it happens there.

Check the SPAM email folder for Bing related emails. We found our Thanksgiving email in the SPAM folder. I believe they will be sending more in-state EA Harpur news soon, once again, based on prior year posts. We are anxiously awaiting our D24’s EA notification for Harpur, UBing is her 1st choice school.

Good luck to all!

Hi! I applied EA into CAS
I took the ACT: 28
Average: 95.3
We do not rank
I have an extensive list of extracurriculars
I took 2 AP classes, 4 & 3 and will graduate with many SUPA credits
This is one of my top schools so a little insight would be extremely helpful

I took the SAT so I can’t really speak for test scores but I got into Watson with a roughly 85 average (with a strong upward trend), 3 APs and only one extracurricular (granted it’s something that takes 24 per week during the season and I went for leadership positions but still it’s only one club) and I even got a scholarship (also international)! So I would say it’s safe to assume you’ll get in. Especially if you’re in state.

Thanks for the insight and best of luck!!

Has anyone heard back from the CCPA yet?

People usually hear back with decisions at 7:15pm

I’m pretty intimidated- it seems like everyone on here has a lot higher scores and gpas than me. Bing is my top school so I’m hoping I get in. I have a 27 ACT, 1300 SAT and a 95.128 weighted gpa. My school doesn’t rank. I’m in a few ECs and I’ve taken many college/ap’s and honors-level classes. I’m pretty average lol.

Does anyone know the dates these people applied that heard back already??

anyone get anything tonight yet???

@do2020 it is done by sat/act score, not submission date , ive submited mine october 17th and still ahve heard nothing while people submitting November 1st have heard back already

Nothing tonight :frowning: , maybe tomorrow getting scared of rejection at this point

nah :frowning:
I know we have until Jan 15 but everyday waiting for their decision just feels like I’m one day closer to being deferred or rejected

@laurenfelle how could that be? on this thread it seems like people with 34’s (high but not perfect) are already getting in but I have friends with perfect 36’s and havent heard back

Nothing again. Let’s hope for tomorrow

@do2020 Based on previous years, thats how its been done, not entirely sure I just collected that they go from high sat, and mid-range act and work their way down. Usually, anything closer to January 15th is a deferral to regular admissions and an occasional acceptance.

still trying to keep hope for the rest of December and January tho

Are acceptances sent by email or posted on the application portal?
