Hi swaggymom1! Thanks for reaching out I’m sure she still has a great chance with all her affluent activities and SAT. Especially if she’s in state she’ll most likely be accepted with the RD group. Cheers!
Any decisions come out tonight?
@lindsayphi Nothing for me today.
Nothing from Bing or SUNYs for us tonight. But I hear Cornell ED came out today
@lwrmof3
Not just Cornell, but several other ivies release their ED results tonight (like Harvard, Columbia, Dartmouth, etc…)
Yeap! Most of them are out. So I would expect that Bing will send out quite a few within a week.
My son is celebrating tonight: he got into Cornell Engineering. Super-excited!
Congratulations @AnxiousDad2024 !
Thank you!! We were super-nervous: his scores, AP grades, and subject SATs were all perfect, but his GPA was horrible… Best of luck to your child!!
@countrystrong12 WOW! Thank you for wishing our son good luck. He was actually admitted, and I was posting his stats because someone asked for them. Lucky for us he WAS admitted, as Binghamton IS our first choice! Congratulations on your son’s numerous acceptances, and best wishes to you both.
@AnxiousDad2024 That’s awesome! How exciting! Time to celebrate!!!
@AnxiousDad2024 One of our son’s really close friends and rowing teammate was just accepted into Cornell’s Engineering Program, and they are celebrating tonight too! He’s a really great kid, so your son will be in good company:). Warmest Congratulations to you again!
Congradulations @AnxiousDad2024 and @Countrystrong11, that’s incredible!
@lindsayphi Daughter accepted Watson - MechE. In-State SAT 1480, Top 10% (school only reports to the decide), 9 AP’s + 2 CC Courses, Lots of EC - very involved (Tech/Sci, Community Service, Music, Leadership, regional awards)
was this today?
Anything tonight?
Coincidentally, our son is also a HS rower! Not good enough to be recruited by Cornell for varsity rowing, of course. But he may still continue with their club. So he may even meet your son’s friend! COE is huge, though: 750+ incoming freshmen!
We’re still waiting to hear— anyone know when next EA results are coming for Harpur?
we are also still waiting - maybe after Mondays Ivy day(:
I posted on this thread about a week ago that I was accepted and waiting to hear about merit aid… Luckily on Friday I received a letter informing me that I have been awarded the Provost’s Scholarship totaling $10,000 a year ($40,000 total!) To reiterate, my stats are as follows :
OOS (MD)
4.6/4 Weighted GPA
3.84/4 Unweighted GPA
1390 SAT
Of course, this moves Bing higher up on my list! I was wondering if anyone knows of any facebook groups or forums where I can connect with other prospective Bing students?
@AnxiousDad2024 It really is a neat coincidence that your son is also a high school rower! Who knows? Perhaps their paths will cross at some point, as I suspect our son’s friend would also pursue rowing as a club sport there:). Again, my sincerest Congratulations are going out to you!
