Binghamton Early Action class of 2018 thread!

@jeff
That SAT score is phenomenal! Congratulations.

Thanks jbryant if only it wasn’t weighed down by such a ****ty gpa. Bing is probably my top choice in the suny system so I’m happy for the potential good news but I still need to wait it out.

Well if thats the case jbryant, then I will be looking forward to checking the mail tomorrow.

Last year from what i read on the posts nobody was able to log on to the quikpay until the 15th (from 12am) and then later that day got emails (i think it was after 5pm). Im starting to think maybe emails will go out tomorrow.

Anyone know how hard it is to change major?

i doubt we’ll get an email tomorrow. i think more people will able to “see” if they got “accepted” the with quickpay.

@jeff from what it appears to be; who cares about the gpa - you’re in. :slight_smile: Just need to make it official.
@jakeydude I agree; I believe that too; emails will come probably the 14th - no later than the 15th. More people will be eligible for quickpay however these last couple of days.
@CBMOM if emails, indeed, do come out tomorrow; well I guess it’s good to officially know, so we can all can start to plan on what to do for our future.

Ok that was my pesimism coming out. No emails tomorrow… Only more eligible quickpays! (Fingers crossed)

@CBMOM that’s the spirit! :)

@jbryant624

Just curious, how is it possible that your friend received an acceptance via Snail-mail if today is Sunday? The post office is not open on Sundays.

@brannn I came to that conclusion after I posted, and forgot to update. He received his package yesterday; sorry for the confusion. :p

So if he recieved his acceptance in the mail saturday, is it safe to assume other New Yorkers will recieve their letters in the mail tomorrow?

@jrok It depends on what part of NY I presume.
He is only 15 minutes away from the school.
I live in Long Island, which is about 3.5 hours away; I don’t know the effect of my distance from the school in comparison to mailing.
Where are you from?

@jbryant624

Lol, no biggie :stuck_out_tongue: and I’m from Long Island as well. Hope you get in.

@brannn
I hope so too. Hopefully, our roads will cross at the actual Bing campus freshman year; since it appears that you’re accepted (via. deposit eligibility)

I feel like I’m so late here, but anyways,
I was able to login on both of the links, and it said I was ‘eligible to pay tuition at this time’. It looks like a good sign that they’re setting these up for some people! I’m trying not to get my hopes up too too much, as nothing’s completely official yet.

Here are my stats incase anyone’s interested
White female from CT

3.45

2000 SAT (590 CR, 690 Writing, 720 Math)
ECs: All conference Varsity Tennis player (since freshman year) and a steady job since sept of junior year. Won a few state/national awards for my artwork Also, a few other small clubs and volunteering that I won’t bore you guys by mentioning.

Personally, I thought my recs and essay were pretty good, but I mean you never really hear of anyone saying that they submitted a sucky college essay. It’s relatively bias of me to say it was awesome, but I mean, I’ll say it anyways. I wrote it about my childhood blanky, and thought it was relatively unique.

Anyways, we’ll hear by Wednesday so don’t stress yourselves out too much if you aren’t getting a message you’d like when you try to login to the QuickPay system. They haven’t emailed us decisions yet, so that means that they’re still trying to get organized in the admissions department, and probably still trying to load everyone into their system.

@jbryant

I am from NYC so not so far from you. Im guessing it should come tomorrow considering we are in the same state.

Fingers crossed that we’ll get notified either by snail mail or email tomorrow, at least for NY (sorry, I’m selfish like that). I’ve been having finals for the last week, and I would love to have at least one final where I’m not nervously anticipating my results.

@kasey Awesome, and I believe that being out of state also plays a great factor. Congratulations.
@jrok Hopefully some good news, I will be sure to post here good news or bad news, and will continue to wish people luck. Hopefully I won’t have to, but in the case of an unfortunate event, I’ll create a deferral thread so we can compare stats and stuff like that.
@TeenageDreamer Exciting right? Fingers crossed, what part of NY and did you check the “unofficial” way yet? Also, if you don’t mind me asking, what are your stats.

Can anyone acess email cause i can’t -_-
