Binghamton or Lehigh?

I would study political science at Binghamton or Economics at Lehigh. Which do you think is a better choice?

Depends on what you want to do afterwards…Law School placement from Binghamton is excellent, MBA ok…MBA after Lehigh, very good, Not sure about law school…If no grad degree wanted, look at career placement…

I would pursue a JD if I went to Binghamton or an MBA if I went to Lehigh (this is all assuming I’d be paying the same after merit and financial aid)

Have you visited both schools? In my opinion, Lehigh & SUNY Binghamton have substantially different campus cultures.

If you’d be paying the same, difficult choice…I think I would choose Binghamton…More diverse, Great Poli sci and economics but you would have to visit to see which you would prefer…I can’t imagine that the net price will be the same though; Binghamton is sooo reasonable, even out of state and Lehigh is not known for great merit or financial aid…

and yes, I agree, very different campus cultures and very different studen bodies…visit is a must…

True thanks a lot, I’ve visited Lehigh and I’ve had a serious discussion with a teacher that graduated from Bing about ten years ago (I’m visiting during break).

Not sure if I understand you. You’ll get JD if you go to Bing, MBA if Lehigh? Getting a law vs graduate business degree are two entirely different things and shouldn’t be dependent on where you go to undergrad. Not sure if I get the reasoning there.

Anyway these schools are totally different (I’m a Lehigh grad). Don’t know much about Bing but Lehigh I think would be a much more FUN place to go to school (esp if you are into partying) and I’d venture LU undergrads are on the whole much happier than Bing undergrads. But if $ is primary, Bing wins easily.

Binghamton is, I’ll bet, more intellectual, but this is from personal experiences (family grads who went to Binghamton vs. people I know and am close friends with go to Lehigh) only.

I started my MBA at Lehigh (finished at RIT due to a move), was not a student at Bing but know a few who are. I think if you would be into research projects and closer interactions with professors Lehigh would be the better choice, if cost and diversity are not issues…
