Binghamton Student - Will answer questions :)

I was accepted to Bing for the Fall 2012 semester. I’m a prospective Economics major with a possible double major or minor in political science. Do you know anyone who’s done anything like that?
Also…perhaps this is premature but in terms of graduate school, do a lot of people go to top universities?

This made me laugh because in the parking lot behind Newing, I constantly see deer. Super freaky.

Is it easier to transfer to Binghamton than enter as a freshman? I have a 3.47 as a biology major from the university of scranton. But since i earned less than 24 credits I had to send my ACT scores in which were low, (low 20s). Do I have a chance? My H.S gpa was around a 90 btw. Oh and I also submitted 2 SAT subject tests to kind of counterbalance the terrible ACT score. 610 Biology E and 690 on U.S history.

Hey I just got into the accounting undergrad degree for fall 2012.
What are the job prospects ? Are they better then at umass Amherst?

Also, how’s the campus environment ? Does it get too lonely at times?

Why is everything a damn competition here

Ok, I’m trying to become a PA. I’ve taken 9 AP courses, so I think I should have a lighter gen ed schedule. Anyway, my concern was about housing: None of the housing situations seem too great, but I think you’ve probably had a lot of experience with this. Which community is your favorite, and can you give me the lowdown on all of the communities? Thanks a lot for doing this!

If you get a 5, or even a 4, on AP Bio, can you pretty much be guaranteed of satisfying your Lab Science gen ed requirement?

I want to repeat acciocollege’s question because I’m really interested in finding out as well:

To add to the first question, if I just wanted to minor in political science while in SOM, would I have to go through the double degree application process? Can you clarify the process a bit?

Also, is there a flat rate for tuition? Ie, the website says something like $7500 (nonresident) for 12+ credits. Does this mean it’s going to cost the same if you take 12 credits or 18 credits?

Thanks so much.
