@Christine_Spencer and everyone else - I spoke with Residential Life this morning. As per their website (New First-year Student Housing 2023–2024 | Residential Life | Binghamton University) , the portal will open up on April 12th but that only facilitates students finding other kids to room with. Allocations will not be processed until June so according to the person I spoke with there, there is no other advantage to applying immediately (for those waiting to commit to SUNY-B). It is not first come, first served.

In state or OOS? D22 was accepted to Harpur in state RD on 2/28
In state, still waiting… it’s the last school! & at this point it would be between Bing (assuming she gets in and Stony)
@jpikr - geographically two very different schools so what will be the deciding factor(s) if you get into both?
Hi! I applied early action, and I received an email telling me that I was admitted into the scholar’s program on 2/15.
When did you hear back from Stony Brook? I applied in early December and still have not heard back yet
D22 applied liberal arts undecided for both schools. She would go to Bing if she is admitted, Stony is close to home, maybe too close.

Hi! D22 heard back the day after that financial aid email, it was early March, 3/4 I believe.

Thanks! I didn’t get a financial aid email, loosing hope that I will get an acceptance from stony in the next 12 days… Binghamton is a different story since I was deferred EA and still waiting for a decision.
Don’t lose hope! From previous threads I’ve read, Stony continues to accept students through April 1st. I believe I had read one from the class of 2025 that she got her acceptance on 4/1. The wait is hard, I get it. Also, I think that financial aid email was some type glitch, I don’t think those emails should be going out.

Congratulations! Which school did he apply to? We’re still waiting on Harpur.
Got an email last night. Offered a place on the waitlist for SOM. I accepted and will hear by June 15. Will be enrolled somewhere else by then, but like to keep my options open. Good luck to you all wherever you go
