My portal changedā¦ it says now there is only one received item, my high school transcript. Before I think there was 2 or 3. Maybe this means some decisions coming out today as they are updating the portal

Just got rejected from SOM tonight
Definite confusion setting in, DD rejected from Bing SOM (in state) but accepted to UC- SD, I, LA and waiting for B as an OOSā¦huh? Thankful but still huh?!

she applied to, itās my way of keep my ears open to whatās happening. Did not expect this news tonight, but hey, time waits for no one and sheās gotta eventually make a decision. 4 more threads to go 
This process is markedly different from when I applied to college (of course) multiplied by a pandemic and divided by test optional.
Anyone have any activity today on the portal?

Just got waitlistedā¦ after being deferredā¦ they said theyāll have a response by June 15th but thatās so late and I thought you have to have a decision for colleges by like May? I really want to go to bing but I donāt know what to do

Sometimes they release waitlists before then, and if you get accepted you could always enroll there, but you will loose your deposit on whatever school you already committed to. It is weird because I never got a single email from Binghamton after the one when I applied. My only email was in October, not a single one to this dateā¦ I just checked my portal and my decision was there

You can not āwaitā for Bing, pick your best choice school by May 1st and if Bing pleasantly surprise you with a waitlist admittance later you will then have a decision to make. Most families are happy enough to lose the deposit to the first school considering the students happiness and/or a better fit. Canāt have it all but that is how waitlists work.
