Got into both, visited both, like both. Very undecided in terms of major. Both schools have excellent reputations amd are tough to get into. Does anyone have any insight into both schools?

Feel free to pm me with questions…Both are great schools I just loved Geneseo.

Geneseograd, do you know anything about the accounting program at Geneseo?

Binghamton is much higher ranked and more selective. I would also say that Binghamtom has stronger programs in general, but I don’t know any in particular (you’re an undecided major anyways).

However, my AP Biology teacher went to Geneseo, and she’s absolutely brilliant. She’s literally like the smartest and most insightful person I’ve ever met. Although her undergraduate education probably didn’t have too much to do with it.

Actually, I wouldn’t say that Binghamton is higher ranked and more selective…the two schools are ranked for the most part in different categories. Remember, one is a university, the other a college.

Here are the latest college rankings for Geneseo.

[Latest College Rankings | SUNY Geneseo](SUNY Geneseo Awards & Rankings | SUNY Geneseo)

As for selectivity, Geneseo stats are just a bit higher than Binghamton with average SAT of 1340.

Regardless both have their strengths…

We preferred Geneseo…

Both schools are very well respected. You may need to look at theirs differences in order to choose.

Smaller school -geneseo
Larger school - binghamton

Liberal Arts - geneseo
Business or Engineering - binghamton

more intramurals- binghampton
more “personal” - geneseo

distance from home??
available transportation to your home?

If you have NO idea of majors, binghamton = more options

Good Luck!

how hard is to get a good grade (3.5+ GPA) in both schools?
