binghamton vs albany

Which is a better school academically? I'm guessing Binghamton.
What about socially? Which has better parties/things to do on the wkend?
Overall, which do students prefer?

Binghamton is better academically....Albany is known to be a hardcore party school...something like UMASS thats what I heard..

Binghamton WAY better all around. Albany is U-G-L-Y! Not to mention, the kids that go there are just looking to skate through. Bing degree much better for jobs and grad schools, and social life on campus is pretty good too.

Dont hate on albany's business school though. Its not bad and has good placement.

I'm not saying its bad..I'm just saying that its not as good as Binghamton's business school.

I thought Albany's business school is better than Binghamton's.

where did you hear that from..

The one recommendation I would have is to visit both locations if possible. Albany may not be perfect, but the town of Binghamton is not that great. That being said, all the kids I know of (my son's friends) who go there all seem to like it.

The business school at binghamton is better, but not by much according to this years US news and world report rankings. Here is the list for your review. Binghamton and Albany are both ranked in the 120's. If you are looking to study business and want to go to a SUNY school, I think Buffalo has a decent program.
